Community Information by Zip Code - Provides access to population, education, health, environment, business, political and other demographic data by zip code.

Frequently Used Government Sites - Compiles all the most useful locations and groups them by subject, such as consumer information, Congress, crime, education, census, voting, statistics.

Office of the Attorney General of Florida - Besides providing background on the attorney general and his office, this website offers information and advice for consumers and crime victims. Topics include crime victims' rights and compensation, child safety tips and consumer fraud prevention tools.

Project Vote Smart - Biographies and address of politicians, their positions on the issues, voting records, campaign finances. Also includes CongressTrack, which provides information on status of legislation, committee membership, sponsors, full text, weekly floor schedules. Even a toll-free number to "speak to your own personal researcher!"

State and Local Government on the Net - A directory of hundreds of links to state and local government resources.

States Ordinances - This site provides access to city and county codes from around the country (including most Florida counties and many cities). Select the state and then the county or city.

THOMAS: Legislative Information on the Internet - An exhaustive guide to federal legislation, bill summaries and text, public laws, roll call votes, Congressional Record index and text, committee reports, hearings schedules and reports. Includes some of the same data for previous Congresses.

U.S. House of Representatives - House directory, member offices, links allowing you to write your representative.

U.S. Senate - Similar to the House site.

White House - Information on the president and vice-president and their email links, White House history and tour, What's New, White House for Kids, Briefing Room.

American Law Sources On-Line (ALSO) - Provides an exhaustive set of links to law sources for the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Cornell Law School - Legal Information Institute.

FindForms - Free Legal Forms.

FindLaw - From law schools to case law, a major resource for locating legal information, including international law.

LawGuru - An extensive site for legal research which gives you access to over 400 legal search engines. It also features chat, information by email, the ability to ask free questions (and search over 9,000 questions and answers in their database), etc.

Lawyer Locator - To find an attorney (by location, firm, or specialty) or information about an attorney (age, law school, certification).

Law Library of Congress - Provides links to Internet legal resources, research databases and a guide to information on the government and laws of the U.S. and other nations.

LLRX (Law and Technology Resources for Legal Professionals) - This free Web journal provides information on a wide variety of topics for legal, library, information technology/information science and administrative professionals. The site includes a searchable archive of articles dating back to the site's beginning in 1996.

Nolo Press - Self-Help Law Center

Supreme Court Information - Find biographies and voting records of the Supreme Court justices, from Cornell's Legal Information Institute.

Tax Forms and Publications - Need a particular federal tax form? Download forms and publications from 1992 through the present from the I.R.S. NOTE: you will need to download and install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view the forms and publications. (For in-library users, see a reference librarian.)

U.S. Tax Code Online - Search it several ways.
